By following these tips you can further improve the effectiveness of your services.
1
Remove Clutter
Around Your Home
Piles of leaves, stacks of wood, garbage, and other items sitting around your home create the perfect place for pests to live. By removing this clutter, you will greatly reduce the number of bugs in and around your home.
2
Keep Your Window Wells Cleaned
3
Keep Grass Trimmed Around Your Home
Long grass and weeds attract all types of insects and increases the chances of them getting into your home. Keep grass and weeds trimmed around the foundation of your home and keep your grass properly maintained.
4
Keep Surfaces Clean
Leaving crumbs, pet food, and other food messes in or around your house is a dinner invite for ants and other pests. By keeping surfaces swept, vacuumed, and cleaned you're letting them know they aren't invited or welcome.
5
Organize Storage Areas
Garages, storage rooms, and unfinished basements can be a refuge for spiders and other pests. Keeping items organized in closed containers will reduce the amount of clutter these pests have to hide in.
6
Keep Your Home Sealed
Avoid leaving doors and windows open without protective screens. Look for openings around your home (doors, garage door, A/C units, etc.) that would allow pests to enter. Seal openings with caulk and replace weather strippings if necessary.
7
Trim Trees & Shrubs
Away From Your Home
Most trees and shrubs have spiders and other insects crawling throughout them. When trees & shrubs grow over or up against your home, spiders and insects have an easy pathway onto and into your home. Keep all branches and shrubs trimmed a few feet away from your home if possible to avoid this problem.
8
Control The Moisture Around Your Home
Many pests thrive in moist areas. If the areas around your home are constantly staying wet or being over-watered, you are more likely to have pest problems. Check your sprinkler coverage to make sure water isn't getting too close to your home or into your window wells. If areas of your lawn feels too squishy, then you may need to dial back your watering.
